June 4, 2020 - Petrol on opening, slightly fading away later on. Colour on the green side, lots of lemons, limes, in a potent, energetic body and quite relaxed, easy to drink in the same time. Went fantastic with garlic prawns.

N: CLOSED; Apples? Hints of minerals? Finally, apples/slate?

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE fruit balanced by a TANGY acidity (with BRIEFLY, a VERY slight spritz?) which fairly seamlessly leads into a LONG, TANGY/swt (80:20) finish with minerals coming forward @ the end. A very clean food wine that, I suspect, should be consumed during the next 6 mos or so as the initially NICE frt had dropped off > I'd have expected by the end of the finish. My EXC-; [As of early Jun '20, wine-searcher still shows 3 sources from $20-$29.]

    Note: Also tasted on 1/20/ & 2/19/18, + 9/24/19

N: A *bit* of petrol as part of a pineapple/lemon melange with notes of honey? Undertones of minerals as well?

P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish frt balanced by a TANGY acidity which slowly, fairly seamlessly transitions into a LONG, BALANCED finish with an ELEGANT tangy/swtness. My EXC-/EXC, arguably the higher for the QPR of the $14.95 @ which it was purchased. [As of late Mar '20, wine-searcher still shows 3 sources from $20-$29.]

    Note: Also tasted on 1/20 & 2/19/18

N: PETROL, poss with a lanolin-type character? [Decreases somewhat with air/warmth.]

P: Med, poss MF, body; NICE, almost swtish frt met by a TANGINESS which QUITE dominates the LONG finish which only @ the VERY end resolves itself with the init frt. Still too tight to serve as an aperitif, though approachable now with food -- assuming one has a high tolerance for acidity. I'm planning on cellaring our remaining bottles until at LEAST early '19, possibly longer, as the wine should show well for 2-3 yrs more after that. My VG/VG+ *now*, with likely EXC- by the bye. [Purchased on a close-out, as of mid Feb '19, wine-searcher still shows 2 sources @ $19 & $20.]

[Served with Baked Tilapia, Rice Pilaf, & young asparagus marinated in IT Salad Dressing with added red peppers. This wine had its frt brought out by ea of these, but (surprising to me) was BEST with the asparagus in the mouth, ff'd next by the tilapia (which I heavily douse with fresh lemons).]
