  January 21, 2024 - Nose: blackcurrant, blackberries, cherry as well. Definitely smelled the minerality as well, along with leather and tobacco
  
  Palate: full body and high tannins. Very earthy with background notes of blackberry and black fruits. There is also a savory, umami component towards finish, like soy sauce.

  September 16, 2022 - Ohne Kommentar, da einfach so nebenbei getrunken. Gefällt mir aber sehr gut. Braucht Luft - aber wenn er am Start ist, dann "Guet Nacht am Sächsi".

  May 21, 2018 - Tobacco, cigar wrapper, wet earth and red fruits lead off the wine. On the palate, the wine is soft, medium bodied, forward and finishes with smoky fruit and a hint of dust in the tannins. You can drink this elegant wine young or age it.

  January 29, 2018 - Graves and Pessac Leognan from bottle: 2015 vintage (UGCB tastings in New York and Washington DC): A disappointing showing from this estate, which usually performs better. Just comes across more hefty than elegant. Will try again in the near future to re-evaluate.
