  May 28, 2022 - Well - if ever you get a chance to taste a 40yo bottle of anything, you should relish the journey and the story of how it made it’s way to your glass.
  Don got this bottle in Spokane,WA in 199x? and it followed him through the USA, Canada, and finding him and Robbin as our neighbours in Calgary,AB. Don decided to share it with us and other neighbours on a summer night as part of thier move and retirement back to New England. We are lucky to have been with them in this place and time.
  It’s a great wine and you should tell us all about it.

  March 14, 2022 - Still alive despite three decades of not always the best storage conditions. Cork was soft and protruding from the neck, and the level just at the top of the neck. Nice nose, classic sauterne. Darker amber color, and the beginning of a "stewed apricot fruit" quality. This bottle had been gifted to me in 1993, and drunk on the occasion of the passing of my dear cat, Little Frannie nearly thirty years before.

  March 7, 2021 - Opened one day in advance and then drunk after a dinner with friends.
  Sweetness has receded considerably and also alcohol levels didn't seem to high. High acidity, evolved aromas, but all in all a bit restrained. In any case very enjoyable.

  Tasted October 14, 2009 at an offline. Light amber color in the glass, clear hue throuighout. Nose of almonds, light notes of sorghum and a bit of orange peel. Flavors of orange and simple sugar. Medium acidity and body. Drink now.
