July 16, 2020 - Good stuff. Remarkably fresh, with little sign of aging. Superb structure and acidity, balancing perfectly what is a surprisingly sweet wine. Lovely botrytis flavours, peaches, apricot and orange peel. Very well made wine, with a long life still ahead.

    December 21, 2019 - 12% alcohol.

Quite deep golden yellow color. Spicy and quite modestly sweet nose with layered aromas of chopped almonds, some beeswax, a little bit of bruised apple, a hint of honeydew melon and a touch of lemon marmalade. The wine is fresh, precise and quite sweet (but not noticeably sweet) on the palate with medium body and intense flavors of apple peel bitterness, some honey, a little bit of lemon marmalade, light steely mineral tones, a hint of exotic spices and a pithy touch of pomelo. The very high acidity lends great freshness and sense of focus to the wine. The finish is crisp, lively and long with firm and quite sweet flavors of tart lemony citrus fruits and fresh green apples, some grapefruit marmalade, a little bit of honey, light steely mineral tones and a mushroomy hint of botrytis.

A very crisp, youthful and rather sweet (but not super-rich) Tokaji Aszú with a terrific balance between the residual sugar and bracing acidity. Not a full-blown dessert wine like the higher-Puttonyos Tokaji wines are, but instead a racy and moderately sweet white wine with very minimal botrytis influence, which makes it come across as more like a Hungarian take on ripe Spätlese rather than an Auslese or Beerenauslese, if you will. The wine has evolved noticeably little in these 9 years and most likely it will require several decades before hitting its peak. Tasting these wines, it's obvious it's not necessary to have 5 or 6 Puttonyos to make a terrific and ageworthy Tokaji. Wonderful stuff!

May 10, 2017 - Medium gold colour. Expressive nose showing notes of apricot jam, orange and lemon peel, pineapple, glue, mushrooms and hints of mango.

It is sweet in the mouth with a racy acidity. It has a moderate alcohol and a medium+ body. It has pronounced intensity flavours and a long finish.

It is a very good quality wine. The acidity is well-balanced by the sweetness and flavour concentration, and the alcohol well-integrated. It has a persistent finish and it shows a bit of complexity provided by botrytis, but a better example of this style would be even more complex.

November 18, 2016 - Precise, fresh and clean sweet wine with less complexity than the tokaji with more puttonyos.
