October 23, 2011 - An evening with friends (Chris and Renee's): I thought this bottle was doing just great. No real hurry as this bottle was just beginning to enter maturity. The nose is cherries, some cherry pie filling, some damp earth and deep. On the palate, cherries layered with earth. Soft enticing texture. Long finish. This bottle was just beginning to unwind and is a testament to what Dehlinger Pinots can do with some age.
