December 31, 2017 - Opened New Year’s eve. Decanted for about 90 minutes, which made a huge difference. Initially it was very tight and uninteresting. Opened up to reveal lots of mid-palette dark fruit, spice, and just a hint of earth. Dimples mix of flavors. Delicious, but still needs more time in bottle. My favorite wine of the evening.

August 23, 2017 - Tasted at the winery. The wine is a saturated medium ruby yet still slightly translucent. Medium bodied with medium tannin and acidity. Earthy, herbal and fruity, nicely balanced a little more ready to drink than the Meyer Vnyd tasted just prior.
