Community Tasting Notes 1

December 28, 2017 - Birthday dinner at Bern's. Low shoulder fill, but the color of the wine was half-decent with a browning red hue. Exhibited a nice dried-cherry aroma, and was definitely drinkable. The bottle showed better than Margaux's own tasting note on their website. But this bottle was more admirable for its history, age and pedigree than for being an amazing wine. In less than an hour, the wine was dead with no aroma and little taste/finish. At least I took home a cool, rare trophy bottle. And, as always, the somm at Bern's was great about handling the situation about the underperforming wine itself.
