Community Tasting Notes 10

November 29, 2022 - Red colour with a very pale rim though no bricking yet.
Heady nose, maraschino cherries, spicy, even a bit medicinal.
Soft and spicy on the palate, some cooked fruit, just a little tannin here, leather, then a sort of chestnut texture like you get in a mature southern Rhone wine.
I don’t have a lot of experience with Californian Pinot but this is excellent- rich, alcoholic, but elegant too. Ageing gracefully too.
Had this bottle open for three days now and it's still superb. Not fading at all. Very impressed by this.

July 11, 2020 - Still in a very nice place a year after the first tasting note (2019). Purchased 6 additional bottles.

October 14, 2019 - Really nice. I describe it as smoldering. Wife describes it as expensive perfume. Either way... Delicious. Medium plus nose. Palate was silky smooth but could have used just a bit more structure. Long finish. Great stuff. But can't really imagine it improving a lot with time.

March 8, 2019 - They hire the dujac vineyard cru to manage their vineyards. American spice yet not heavy handed. Fresh, complete.
