March 14, 2021 - A beautiful wine that nice balanced and silky smooth. Dark fruit, long finish. Drinking beautifully now but will also be able to last several more years

June 13, 2017 - 35 Cabernet in here. Which apparently turns off chicagoians. I'm being told it's a baby. Long life in the bottle. Cabernet doesn't overdo it on the nose to me. Shows on the palate. The pure Sangiovese is more fun

April 8, 2017 - Opera Wine 2017 - 100 Great Producers (Verona, Italy): { OperaWine2017, Verona } Dark, figgy, pruney, with lower acids and lower freshness. A wine that holds little interest for me. (over) concentration and (over) ripeness are the defining factors here. A wine that I can not recommend nor would I seek to purchase, though for those that like the style, you'll be happy with the QPR; not thrilled, but happy.

April 13, 2016 - Vinitaly 2016; 4/10/2016-4/13/2016 (Verona, Italy): The nose is ultra-dense and rich, beautiful black fruit, ripe red and black cherry, nice oak frame, a touch of alcohol (14,5%) but not too aggressive with prunes and the end. The palate is equally rich, nice tannins, good body and concentration, a bit alcoholic but alright, beautiful oak, a bit drying with long finish. This needs time, but outstanding quality and a great way to end the Vinitaly fair.
