January 15, 2024 - A bit stiff out of the bottle but eased up over time.

June 19, 2023 - Popped and poured. Noted the next day, after wine was sitting in the cellar nearly 20 hours. Solid ruby, no sign of age. Nose is fairly rich and sweet, attractive. Surprisingly reminds of a nice California pinot. (In this case, that is NOT a knock on the wine.). Bright cherry. In the mouth, it is much earthier, and frankly it detracts from the overall impression and is a bit jarring following the red fruit nose. Really seems to be lacking in both fruit and balance in the mouth. Not crazy about this. 5-12-6-4: 77/100.

Deep, red fruit. Lovely perfume. spiciness is there for sure. Touch of orange rind but really the fruit is what is dominant. Fullness from oak but not oaky.

January 24, 2022 - First bottle of a half case. Good ruby color with no hint of bricking. Immediately presents generous aromatic notes of sous bois, fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries, cranberries, red licorice, cinnamon, and a light dusting of incense. On the palate this bursts into the attack with vibrant acidity, and mildly tart cranberries and cherries. In the mid palate the Vosne spice steps forward with cinnamon, white pepper, cardamom, and a dusty coating of smoke. Cruises into the finish where the tart red fruits return for a tangy spice filled finish with good length.

Plenty of body and vigor on this to hold in the cellar or enjoy now for the plush red fruits and spice. Drink now through 2031.

September 12, 2020 - Holy smokes what a pretty wine! Smoky, oaky, with ripe cherry notes, a great balance with acidity and tannin, and a long finish. It's Burgundy without astringency. Beautiful. From 375.
