August 7, 2007 - Another Tuesday Night in Minneapolis (Montrose 82, 86, 89, 90, 95, 01, 03, 04): I forgot to take a note on this one, too. I carried this back from the domaine after my visit in 2006. A great way to finish the tasting. The nose offered orchard fruit with floral notes. The texture was excellent -- this was thick and concentrated without being heavy or cloying. Great balance. Long and satisfying finish. A very fun wine -- wish I'd bought a few more.

November 24, 2006 - Corked -- a huge disappointment. You could still taste the flavors noted during our trip to the domaine (and in the notes below by other members of the group), but they were overpowered by the trademark "wet newspaper". A giant letdown...

June 20, 2006 - France Trip Part 2 - Northern Rhône; 6/18/2006-6/20/2006: Tasted at the domaine. An unusual sweet vinification with 40g residual sugar and 16% alcohol. No botrytis! Rich gold color. Big nose of pineapples, bananas, and caramel -- like Pineapples Foster! Good acidity and structure, so the overall result is delicious and not at all cloying. Very good.
