September 16, 2022 - Nice bright and lively fruit. A little tart on the finish. Followed by big heat. Rounded tannins. Surprised by the heat on the finish.

August 13, 2020 - PNP. Inky color. Nose of black fruit. On the palate, Black cherry, blueberry, cherry liqueur. Espresso. Medium full body, lush, ripe fruit. Soft tannins. 80% Merlot, 20% Cab.

August 10, 2018 - OBX steak dinner. Always a great wine and something to have while waiting to break out the big Carter guns. Was surprised by the blackberry that developed with time. This definitely benefited from a couple hours of air and was best at end. Really smooth and enjoyable but not too complicated. Nose a bit closed still.

April 28, 2018 - Tasting in Napa during Campovelo cycling; 4/27/2018-4/30/2018 (Napa, CA): Slightly closed but the lushness of the vintage is apparent. Great mid palate acidity. Fresh with a long finish. Nice spices. Needs time but love the potential.
