March 2, 2014 - This bottle was singing tonight, paired with leg of lamb. Beautiful smokey nose, balanced meaty palate, with plums currants, chocolate, smooth and fully integrated. Very nice!

February 4, 2014 - Slow ox for an hour then decanted for an hour. Strong and expressive nose - bitter chocolate, blue and red fruit, coffee, menthol and cedar. Powerful wine on the palette. Concentrated spicy and peppery on the palette that reflected the nose. Fairly long finish. Loved this wine.
