December 31, 2023 - Aromatic on the nose. Notes of flora, violet, roses, red and black fruits. Very elegant on the palate too. Well make wine despite challenging vintage.

March 6, 2023 - Nose: green apple, some red fruits, spices, earthy, dark forest cake, pepper, blackcurrant
Notes: tasted in a Lafleur vertical of 88, 89, 90, 93, 94, 99. Opened for 1.5 hours before drinking. The wine started off with a beautiful nose already and is still quite lively with very bright and fruity aromas. This wine is full of mature fruit aromas and is showing so well now. I have always liked Lafleur 92-94 as I feel each of them are quite unique in its own way and despite the poor vintages in general Lafleur has made amazing wines during these vintages. This 1993 is very complex while the elegance demonstrated is simply unmatched with by most other top Pomerol wines. Drinking great now and should continue to hold up nicely for at least another 10-15 years.

January 2, 2023 - My contribution to the lunch, sadly this was slightly corked, also a bit lean vs previous experiences, had much better bottles, all from the same wooden case.

January 2, 2023 - Beat the '89 Angelus: Corked but still drinkable. Could tell this was superb for a '93, very ripe and sweet red fruit.

January 25, 2020 - Still very young. Took over two hours in decanter to fully develop. Put on weight and added complexity. Very enjoyable.
