April 1, 2024 - 20 y later ! Kaboooom what a wine. This is huge but not too much. There is extract sweetness but not too much. This is sooo long. Very herbal and fresh. Patience has been rewarded again. No sign of age . This will go for another 20 y . Crazy shit

November 24, 2016 - A heavyweight, with noticeable gylcerol / alcohol presence, though no noticeable heat. Highly aromatic with big secondary, brassy flavors. On the palate the complexity didn't seem to match, but this remained pretty engaging nonetheless. A good experience, though I'm not sure I'd buy again at the same (secondary market) price.

The acidic structure and tactile spice that this wine often fascinatingly displays are more in the background. With the exception of Hochrain, I wouldn't hesitate to pull corks on the '05s, as this more delicate vintage appears to be at the tail end of its drinking window.

December 4, 2011 - Outstanding stuff. Rich, golden color. Nose of honey and nuts. On the palate, lush mouthfeel with lots of viscosity, almost condrieu-like. Lots of minerality, with almost riesling-like petrol notes, and flavors of lychee nuts. Extremely long finish. This is really something...
