April 14, 2024 - Mas Doix rocks! Superb smooth powerful red: blackberry, dried black fruit, cedar, plum, fig, coffee, black olive, graphite, full body, velvety long finish.

January 6, 2024 - Served at dinner party, no formal note. Big and plush with ripe dark fruit and a mineral backbone, the 15% abv was a slight detraction. (90-92)

Verðmiðinn er hins vegar mjög hár, ca. 18.000 fyrir 2013, sem mér finnst of hátt fyrir vínið.

August 12, 2023 - Popped and poured, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby with just the slightest edge browning. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of black raspberry, boysenberry, charcoal, leather, and Asian spice. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium+ tannin, medium+ body, medium+ intensity, 15.0% abv is not noticeable- feels 14-14.5% on my palate, with developing flavors of black raspberry, spice, and leather with a medium+ finish.

    Balance: Excellent
    Length: Excellent
    Intensity: Excellent
    Complexity: Excellent

This has everything going for it this evening, hitting on all cylinders. Showing some tertiary characteristics but, at the same time, quite youthful. I've recently been sensitive to high alcohol, but this carries it's 15% wonderfully. Currently entering it's long, 5+ year, drinking window. Just an all-around great wine.

July 26, 2023 - Still incredibly young. Still ruby in colour, and mostly primary and secondary characteristics. Ripe black cherry, earthy, a touch of dried fruit, nutmeg, toast. Wonderful poise and balance, fine chalky tannins, cherry, plum, toast. Everything is in its right place. Ripe fruit, integrated oak, some development. Stunning how young this is. Plenty of depth and structure to improve over the next 5 years. Outstanding
