September 22, 2021 - Godly. ‘10 was my epiphany wine and this might be just a touch below. Gorgeous rose gold color showing it’s age. Somewhat medicinal nose on open evolving to honeyed nut butter. Quince, apricot, toasted almonds and Cheerios on the palate. The wine coats the mouth and takes 45-60 seconds to resolve fully. Over the 3 hour dinner at Momofuku Ko it grew increasingly harmonious and symphonic finishing almost with an aged Sauternes-like character. This is without a doubt in my mind one of the top 3 whites in the world. It can probably live for another 1-2 decades but wtf are you waiting for???
