Community Tasting Notes 7

March 2, 2015 - Weekly tasting group #158; A mixed set of red wines. (@ My place): In the bouquet tea, leather rust and celery. On the palate a very mature wine with chocolate, chamomile tea, a lot of sweet spiciness, ok acidity and also a firm dose of sweetness. The tannin is completely melted. The wine is still drinkable and even a pleasure, but in fact too old now. Should have been drunk 5 years ago. No score.

September 4, 2013 - final bottle...still rich full fruit although one in our party found it too ripe/rich....perhaps a tad too full and not altogether pure with some of the usual Rhone funk....still enjoyed all these bottles

March 11, 2011 - Drunk on my birthday and this was terrific....we all loved this wine

April 13, 2010 - Opened this late in the dinner and drank a good deal of the bottle. Just gorgeous, fruit still rich and tannin and brett fine.....wonderfuly mature wine and not remotely falling apart.

February 3, 2009 - Initial barnyard stink that eventually blew off to reveal still very sweet and full fruit. Drunk a bit fast b/c we had to get to the opera and would have loved to linger
