March 21, 2017 - i had this a few months ago and cannot believe i didn't post a note. this is great chardonnay although i remember some fizziness that eventually disappeared. the QPR is a bit off I believe. this should be a $30 chard. however very burgundian and it misses that citrus flavor that is now prevalent in white burgundies. good wine but i am hesitant to call winery for more because at member price of $40 this is richly priced.

March 14, 2017 - Two days tasting in Oregon; 3/13/2017-3/14/2017 (Willamette Valley, OR): lemon pudding, light papaya note, oak and acid well integrated and balanced. could use more concentration and complexity, but fairly tasty, if a bit overpriced.

September 20, 2016 - Smells like good Chardonnay, some of the richness of malolactic fermentation, lemon and lime creme, white pear. The oak aromas are reserved but present. Nice flavors on the palate, tart apples, green pear, limes. Nice texture and length in the finish, the acid has good texture and almost gives the feeling and flavor of minerality. Oak again is nicely in balance. The finish has good length with it's acids but doesn't carry much in way of flavor other than tart fruit. Overall it's very nice wine, a little overpriced at $45, and could be really beautiful in a few years. I feel like it needs time to integrate further. I have a couple more bottles so I'll let you know in a couple of years.

July 25, 2016 - 50% new oak, moving towards a burgundian style. My preference is for just a touch of new oak (15-25%), but this was a very nice chardonay. Pale gold with hints of both citrus and tropical fruits.
