October 17, 2021 - This one is done. I saw other high ratings, so it appears that my bottle was not treated well before I received it.

August 28, 2019 - Wow. A light ruby color belies the intensity here. Raspberry and underripe strawberry fruit, raw rubbed herbs, tealeaf, and a strong streak of animale. Lots of tart acidity and some tannin despite looking like more like a mature Pinot, this has that kind of effortless power great wines often have. Marvelous.

  • Claret & CdP Gang Likes this wine: 93 points

January 30, 2019 - Drank with some big hitters 78 Margaux, 78 Las Cases, 85 Lynch, 96 Margaux, 97 Rayas, 13 Opus, fairy light color with bricking, savoury, mushroom, smoky nose, medium bodied, good acidity, silky tannins, delicious mature Hermitage, strawberries, roses after time, peppers, juicy, green bamboo, a sour after taste, not your typical hermitage

October 24, 2018 - See my prior notes. A reddish mature color now; some browning at the rim. Smooth and mature. Great balance. An elongated, smooth finish. A 28 year old wine drinking at its apogee.
