April 18, 2024 - I’ve liked this before but less so this time. Very astringent upon opening and seeming a bit too ripe. Better after a night on vacuvin, but it never came together for me.

June 25, 2020 - Lovely still but beginning to show it’s age. Nice smooth tannins and mature fruit.

December 14, 2019 - No decant. Still a wonderful wine for the price of 30 Euro. Lots of forward fruit and not near its end. Drank alongside the Gattera same year/producer and the Aborina won.

February 7, 2019 - Very nice barolo showing well. Came in third in our blind tasting of 2011 and older Barolo's. Nice fruit profile, dark cherry, classic tar and roses. Good depth and acid balance. Nice smooth tannins. Lots of potential.

August 29, 2018 - A real pleasure to drink now even though it hasn't reached its full potential. But the fruit is so charming right now and still no mistaken its origin. Will be hard to stay away long enough but I believe it will be worth it. I think Bovio is a rising star.
