  April 29, 2023 - Fantastic value. Deep dark fruit. Blackberry, black cherry, hints of dark chocolate. Ready to drink but will still go several more years. Medium tannins.

  February 19, 2023 - Big, bold cabernet that is entering a drinking window that I expect should have many years ahead of it as well. Dark fruits, well integrated oak, and the structure to stand up to the braised short ribs we paired this with. Excellent!

  October 14, 2022 - Our friends loved the JEC ‘15 Stagecoach so much, that after we had exhausted all planned bottles for the evening, they wanted to try another. I thought this JEC would be the best bet without a decant. Consumed a bit colder than my preference, but it was very very good and better than my previous bottles which seemed a little faded. This had mature dark fruit and some nice complexity, tannins could have used some air time, but overall excellent and our non wine friends are now JEC fans!!

  April 7, 2022 - Decanted 1 hour and drank over many more. Appeared older than it’s years and drank older than the 2014 Yates (which is really a benchmark for me—not only the best JEC wine but my favorite old style Napa cab). Dark fruits were there but fading into the background. Tobacco, leather and other tertiary development was there. Tannins were smooth but still very present. Overall well integrated but I would not be surprised if there is some bottle variation here as I would have expected the fruit to be as integrated as the rest. I will try another very soon.
