April 27, 2024 - This wine's better days were a number of years ago. In one word I would describe as lifeless.

November 7, 2023 - Superb wine for my 59th birthday. Opulent, lush, and huge flavors of black cherry, licorice, and chocolate. Finish goes on and on and on. Mouth filling and wonderful.

April 22, 2022 - Opened, poured and let sit 45 min. Then: Not much nose. Taste starts out with dark red fruits. I was expecting the usual zin profile, but for the first 15-20 minutes this had a distinct non-zin taste on the back end; maybe one of the other grapes briefly taking over. That non-zin taste fades over time, but I can't say that the usual zin taste become apparent. This is very structured, still some tannins, OK balance, but none of the usual zin spice. Not sure what to make of this, but if you are looking for a "typical" Bedrock zin, this is not it. Fairly one-dimensional and not that interesting or fun to drink. Based on other tasting notes and compared to where this is now, it seems like its best days are past.

January 9, 2022 - tight, forceful, mixed dark red fruit, loads of tannin, excellent structure, ample acidity and finish

August 14, 2021 - It does not seem as good as the other vintages.
