Community Tasting Notes 1

November 24, 2019 - Jean-Pierre Reniard Burgundy Wine Seminar (Jade Palace Seafood Restaurant): Tasted in Riedel white glass.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of roast meat, toasty wood, dark spice, dark fruits. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, deceptively drying high tannins, medium alcohol (13%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of meat, toasty wood, dark spices, dark red cherries, dark plum, pomegranate. Long finish.
Very good quality. A polished Pommard that still shows meatiness. Young now. Lots of potential for good ageing. Not entirely unapproachable now.
