  January 7, 2018 - Normally I like odd little wines. Deep color, light body, very acidic with soft dry tannins. Notmally this would be a winning formula for me, and I have loved all previous wines from Ribeira Sacra, not this one. I think it's ripe fruits that it lacks and I don't think a steak is going to fix it.
  Revisiting days later, unloved taste and acidity still prevail while significant sludge is found in the bottom. Now I love a wine that has more soluble solids than it can hold and isn't overfiltered. In theory I should like this wine, will try it again maybe side by side with Petalos another wine made from Mencia grapes. With friends.

  August 31, 2017 - Decanted 1 hr. ahead. Very deep garnet color. Old-world nose led by plums and cedar with pencil lead. Lighter on the palate than the color might lead you to think, it's medium-weight and dry on the palate, with black cherry soaked in leather flavors. Finishes fast with light tannins.

  June 1, 2017 - Fruity and perfumed aromas with leather and some farmyard notes. Fruity and juicy in the mouth.

  November 19, 2016 - Spicy pepper, red fruit, Med acidity, med tannins, med body, med finish. Needs red meat to balance.
