NOSE: carbonic; red-fruited; cinnamon (strong on Day 1; light on Day 3); hint of wet stones.

BODY: black-garnet color of medium to medium-deep depth; medium bodied.

TASTE: watermelon/cherry Jolly Rancher; black raspberry; adequate acidity; no tannin; not funky; not big/thick/dark/earthy/bitter, but still bigger than typical D&R; 12.9% alc. not noticeable. Drink now and over the near term.

September 13, 2021 - My first D&R wine. And probably my last. Light-to-medium body. Very faint red fruit. The remaining elements (including the mouthfeel) were reminiscent of a bottle of old bdx that did not survive the journey. Not in any way recognizable as Mourvedre of the Bandol or even of the Calif versions that I like a lot (e.g., Terre Rouge). Not good QPR for about $50, IMO.

February 13, 2021 - Delicious and refreshing to drink. Love the lower alcohol and crunch.

October 4, 2020 - 45 mins in decanter. leathery and dark. Stains the palate, yet its lighter in body and doesn't leave weight on the palate. There is a xmas spice element. There's an umami note, it's savory and rich. Tannins are fine and integrated. Drinking well.
