March 13, 2010 - To celebrate a Geoff bball success....new oak brick red, lit color, velvety looking, cherry and cola nose light wt, no tannin very soft with marked acidity and a lingering finish...Santa Barbara that I have drunk strike me as bright fruit and more flavor than many, but not much complexity. in the nose and taste a combination of the Camria Bench Break and Burgundian earthiness. This wine is a pleasure to drink Sassy Sarah Vaughn bleu us awaaaay.

November 26, 2009 - Dark fruit and some menthol on the nose. Brownish purple color, may be approaching the end of the drinking window. Dark fruit, and a tinge of earth on the palate. Medium finish.

January 20, 2007 - Decent bottle of wine from the Central Coast. Drinking fine in early 2007 although probably not going to improve from here. Nice spice, vanillia bean coming through, fruit flavors include darker (bing) cherries, perhaps a bit of light plum. Tannis are soft but present, finish is nice but somewhat short. A nice effort.

January 3, 2005 - A medium-bodied, easy-going Pinot; soft, with very few tannins, and fruity enough to be pleasing -- showing raspberry, cherry, and even passion fruit overtones. The finish is short, but does present at least a modicum of spice and oak. It's too easily forgotten at this price ($30), but charming enough for the fish-and-chips home-cookin' with which we drank it. (Tasted twice, on 1/3/05 and 2/24/05, with consistent notes.)
