June 26, 2023 - Not as finessed as other Kelly Fleming Cabs, so this was a disappointment.
Certainly not bad, but as I sometimes say, "Everything that is wrong with many California wines." Overripe, over extracted, too much alcohol (14.7%.)
Gave it 45 minutes of air before tasting. After another hour there was some green/stemmy characteristics in the finish that may not resolve.
* Revisited two days later (bottle was gassed.) Not drinkable. The fruit turned pruney and the stemminess was not tolerable. Yeast spoilage? -

June 4, 2021 - Decanted briefly. Quite a nice high-toned Calistoga Cab with savory red and black fruit, licorice, and earth. Showing well now.
