Community Tasting Notes 2

September 9, 2017 - PnP. dark reddish in glass, nose has mostly vegetative aromas. mid palate had a thickness or something going on that I do not remember in other cairannes.

Perhaps it was sweetness, as SRH noted; I have less sense of improvement in the future.

Finish held on for longer than expected.

Kinda spooky for me as SRH and I bought at the same...

March 25, 2017 - Winebar for 3/24/17 (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 65% Grenache, 30% Syrah, & 5% Mourvèdre

N: Lovely melange of earth/flowers/berries (cherries?)

P: Med body, RIPE, almost swtish frt with blk olive notes on entry, with just a tad of mid palate pucker. The finish is LONG & tangy/spicy. Deserves 12-18 mos of cellaring, then drinking for the ff 3 yrs min. MIGHT evolve into a STEAL @ this vendor's *uber* competitive $14.95! 14.5% ABV
