December 3, 2023 - Vinen er sjekket og rekorket hos Leflaive. Luftet i 2 timer.

February 3, 2023 - Thanks to Pluckemin Inn's immaculate storage, this bottle was a textbook example of an aged white burgundy. This drinks like a carefully crafted toasted sesame dessert. Ripe tropical fruits contrast with beads of lemon, green apple and orange extract. Jasmine petals and sea salt sprinkled across the plate elevate the sensory experience. Most importantly, the toasted sesame running from the nose to the palate to the finish ties this creamy dessert up in a beautiful, creamy package.

You can't help but have a smile on your face when a perfect bottle of aged white burgundy like this checks all the boxes.

February 20, 2022 - 3rd bottle in a row that was Premoxed!! Thankfully this my last '05 bottle. What a tragedy.... So I opened a 2005 Henri Boillet Mersault Les Genevrieres that was beautiful. Night saved....

February 14, 2022 - 2 bottles opened for Valentines Day - both Premoxed. One more than the other, but both undrinkable. Very disappointing....

January 5, 2022 - A superb birthday dinner (Amsterdam): Deep golden colour, very ripe, noticeable wood and bitters, a whiff of lovage, minerals also, still very elegant, but its age was a bit too obvious.

(Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles) Light lemon yellow color; deep apple, clarified butter nose; silky textured, tasty, ripe apple, ripe lemon, lemon gelee, light vanilla palate; medium-plus finish 92+ points (in blindtasting of six '05 and '06 Chassagne- and Puligny-Montrachets, this one ranked 2nd for the group, fifth for me, and garnered a total of 65 votes)

(Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles) A wide and authoritative nose that’s both concentrated and dense. In the mouth its quite rich but the acidity is just the right foil to provide lift and balance. It’s expensive, but it is what it is - excellent.
