  September 14, 2014 - Decanted briefly. Mature but not far off peak, it still has ripe wild strawberry fruit, nice sweetness to the fruit yet soft and delicate. Further proof how well these Kanonkops age. Drink now-2018.

  March 15, 2010 - Geevalueerde kleur, bruin in de rand. Hevig tranend. Direkt aansprekend bouquet met hout, tabak, geconfijt fruit, bos, mint, aardsheid. Dit alles versmolten, zuiver en complex.
  Zachte pinotage, prachtig ontwikkeld, lang, diep, zoete rijpheid met levendig zuurtje op afdronk. Deze wijn ken ik goed uit zijn jeugd, toen al onweerstaanbaar, maar nu grote verrassing. Wat een ouderingspotentiel heeft deze wijn ( en nog steeds geen haast..) .
  Wat gaan goede oudere wijnen toch op elkaar lijken ongeacht de druif/herkomst: Musar , Bandol, Trevallon...
