  July 23, 2023 - A bit disappointed in this. Not showing a lot at 8 years of age. Color is a developed dark yellow and there are decent orchard fruits in the nose, it is still very tight in the mouth with a great deal of acidity. Needs more time. 5-12-15-7: 89/100.

  December 11, 2020 - Transparent yellow-gold. Reserved nose offering just a hint of stone fruit. Dry, medium bodied with a searing high acid. Very clean and a bit grassy on the palate, with some lemon rind fruit and a bit of a bitter finish. This may have evolved into something more complex with time in the glass, but we downed this quickly as it was a delicious pairing with our pasta in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce.

  September 5, 2020 - It showed no trace of TCA on first opening/cork/etc., but by the end of the bottle, some three hours after it had been opened, there was some TCA aroma on the surface that distracted, if not quite detracted. That said, the first few glasses were very good/enjoyable. Not quite the acid cut I'm looking for, but more than serviceable, to be sure. Will be keeping my fingers crossed for my remaining two bottles that I plan to open in the next 1-4 years based on this showing. Natural cork. NR

  October 10, 2016 - “Grosse Gewächse”-Tasting, flight 2, wine 1. The wine was medium lemon in colour and offered citrus, stone fruit, green apple and peach aromas as well as a sweaty sock component on the nose. On the palate the medium-bodied wine showed citrus, lemon effervescent powder, green apple and peach, complemented by underlying mineral notes, with high, piercing acidity and superb length. Very clean and very precise. Great Riesling!
