May 25, 2017 - Not good. Tasted like the grapes were picked green and it spent about 22 minutes in barrel, hence Tonel 22. Just raw and hot and yucky. It is not often that WTSO serves up a loser, but this is one. I'll use it to marinate hanger steaks before going on the grill.

April 30, 2017 - Exceptionally smooth Douro blend. Decanted for 45 minutes from cellar temp and it was perfect.

April 6, 2017 - Short decant at cellar temp. Garnet with purple highlights and no sediment. After a bit in the decanter the nose settles into overripe red fruits, smoked violets, and touches of dried meat. Brighter on the palate with crunchy red fruits backed by bright medium(+) acid and framed by seedy tartness and medium(-) tannins. Delightfully tense between the nose and palate, if not very complex. "Very good," 87/100.
