August 17, 2021 - Delicious and perfectly aged. Smooth with a blend of dark berries and licorice.

March 17, 2021 - Red berries, cassis, cedar, oak, earth & a hint of tobacco. Jen thought this didn't drink as well as prior bottles, but I simply think it was a little light, after the 1999 Montrose. (Not an easy act to follow). Plus I think this wine is better with roast chicken or duck, rather than herbal rack of lamb. Or perhaps it was just late.

    A great wine. Drink now!

May 20, 2018 - Red berries, flowers, herbs, earth. Not as evolved as other bottles. Terrific with Donna’s roast chicken and herbs (with butter).

October 25, 2017 - Wow!! What a wonderfull wine! Deep colour, inviting nose, taste is full, velvet structure, enourmous length. I’m very glad to have a 12 bottle case; this is the first bottle.

June 17, 2017 - Drinking perfectly, with notes of with red berries, cassis, cedar, oak & a hint of tobacco. I served this with duck cassoulet but it was actually better on its own - or maybe with roast herbal chicken next time. Drink now but these have time, too. Just entering the perfect drinking plateau.
