February 1, 2018 - Light straw. Zesty citrus aromas, with quite a strong caramel-oak element following on. Medium to full-bodied. Some big, ripe, almost blowsy tropical fruit on the finish. I have enjoyed this more in the past, but I'm still intrigued by it. Cork, 13%.

August 8, 2017 - The 2011 suffered from a heavy oak influence, but fortunately this 2015 isn't so affected. Clean and crisp, citric varietal typicity with a touch of riper, juicy fruit (peach, tropical) as well, a creamy texture and just a hint of warmth from the wood (six months in new oak hogsheads). Good length. An elegant wine with good ageing potential. At restaurant Sticky Walnut, Chester, UK.

January 4, 2017 - Very nice wine. Unripe stone fruit, mineralogy offset by honeyed fruit. Drank it in Lisbon at Cantinho do Avillez.

October 30, 2016 - Took a little while to open especially as served too cold but when it did it revealed a delicious tropical fruit, honey, lime and oak with a fairly long finish. Not as opulent as the 2014 vintage I had in Lisbon back in the summer, but more structured and finish more persistent. This is one of the first times I've spent time properly exploring Dao whites and the 2015 vintage is supposed to be very good so go figure...next time will have to decant which is a first for me in Portuguese whites...!
