March 10, 2024 - Needs time to open up before it becomes expressive. Was a bit shy or shut down at first. So has some years ahead it seems, also.

February 28, 2024 - Antoine Jobard/Hudelot-Noëllat Dinner at La Paulée de Los Angeles (Kato, Los Angeles): Noticeably cooler, more herbal aromas with some wood mixed in. Lighter, not as concentrated as the ‘19. Citrus and orchard fruit, lots of soil, and the lowest perceptible acidity of the 6 wines shown. At least very good, but somewhat blurry and a step or 2 down in palate impact and presence. Like some of the other Jobard’s, it came on nicely with air and had more satisfying shape and structure by the last sip.

October 25, 2023 - Flinty, clean and precise, with sharp acidity. I found the fruit to be a bit muted at first, but definitely got better with air. Ultimately I was hoping for a bit more weight and depth, but this was still tasty.

November 17, 2022 - Wow, a seriously, good, flintly white Burg, precise, fresh, elegant with great palate presence and long finish. Wonderful. 96+

December 23, 2021 - White Burgs and Rhone Varietals To Go With Burgers and Thursday Night Football (Los Olivos, CA): Just entering its drinking window. Taut and precise, with some initial flint and apple skin aromatics giving way to some mildly honeyed peach, lemon and saline notes. Balanced and compact on the palate, with some ginger and minerality joining the party. More sophisticated than I expected, and may have upside from here.
