March 16, 2024 - Heater week; 3/8/2024-3/17/2024 (Chicago, IL): 0 g/L dosage, disgorged February 2018. Not for me. Initially this was quite mute and sedate, and so I set it aside for a few hours. When I got back to it, this had a somewhat off-putting raw bread dough nose that I just couldn't get past. It's got decent weight and concentration -- certainly good material here, but that yeasty quality here gives me a lot of trouble, not to mention the intense acidity that isn't counterweighted by anything else. This is a confluence of qualities that don't work together for me -- creamy white fruit, tart grapefruit acidity, overly intense acidity...

February 2, 2024 - Much better than my past savart experiences - this was decanted before serving, which may have been the difference.
A chiseled and fresh rendition of grapefruit, green apples and cream. After a long day of drinking, the clean, refreshing finish really gave me enough juice to make it onto the car ride home. -
