February 24, 2007 - Powerful scents of clove, beechnut, menthol, band aid, fresh herbs and so on. Fruit was just not coming out. This was an overpowering PN, way over the top for my taste. I thought the pinot noir grape was in the fruit family.

February 24, 2007 - Experimented with this wine tonight, decanted for 2 hrs, wine didn't open much, would wait at least another year before opening another bottle. After 2 hrs the wine isn't giving up much on the nose, the palate is dominated by lavendar/lilac flavors (interesting), tannins but not over-powering, not very fruit driven at this time. No official posting of score, but 88? pts this night.
