December 4, 2023 - First experience with this Quintarelli wine and I completely get the attraction. Absolutely great. Would not guess it was 2009; still had plenty of life.

December 25, 2021 - Chosen by my father to accompany Christmas lunch. Dark cherry and figgy fruit, soft tobacco, lots of acidity yet soft and silky in its early maturity. No trace of the 15% alcohol - a beautifully balanced and well-integrated wine, although not especially complex or impactful. I loved the green label and green glass.

    July 20, 2021 - A first and what a beautiful discovery!
Magnifique !

April 23, 2021 - Clear pale/medium ruby/garnet; clean medium nose of ripe blackberries, balsamic, strawberries, soil and mushrooms; dry; high acidity; medium tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is tarter with red fruit and figs; medium plus finish; drink now or in a few years; fascinating wine - great longevity for a valpolicella- seemed to have some appassimento characteristics - which is strange

December 25, 2020 - Deep maroon, nose is fairly intense, complex, with forest floor, wild berries, sweet tobacco, some pie spice, a lovely bouquet. The palate is soft and caressing, but good acidity keeps it fresh and focused, and the flavours are beautiful, deep and long. The 15% alc is only noticeable if you search for it. Really a very special wine.
