July 27, 2022 - Obviously an exciting opportunity to drink this wine but I have to admit it was a little tired. Was missing the freshness I would have expected to still be lingering. Dark yellow almost light orangey color. Buttered popcorn. But it wasn’t oxidized. Just not all there anymore. Almost tasted like a few drops of yquem was splashed in the bottle from the sugar.

October 5, 2018 - Really good. Seemed to catch this bottle at the perfect time. Rich and deep without being at all heavy. Good pungency without being strong. Varied and complete set of palate notes. 96-97

May 13, 2017 - World's Greatest - Night III (Per Se): [Magnum] Absolutely spectacular nose that has wilted white flowers and developed tropical fruit. The reduction and trace smoke is here in a subtle but pronounced way. White rubber. Really gorgeous bouquet. Rich and golden on the palate. Ripe and creamed.
