May 27, 2021 - Super modern take on Rioja. Creamy nose w pine needles. Dense, dark chocolate notes leading to a firm tannic finish. Blind can masquerade as a light handed new world cab. Need 3-5 years to resolve. Enjoyable for the style.

October 15, 2017 - Opaque crimson color. Black currant, blackberry, blueberry, mocha coffee, cedar, pencil, peppermint oil, puer tea, green apple and black pepper aromas. Let the wine breathe for 1-2 hours. Particularly, the nose is delicate, beautiful like a fine Bordeaux or Nothern Rhone red. The palate has polished texture, lifted acidity, thick concentration and long finish. Obviously it is well-made, but the trouble is that there is some discord among the nose, palate, and balance. The palate is somewhat heavy, blunt for the nose and the acidity isn't consistent in whole balance. It is a young wine. Time could resolve those issues in some degree. Of course, it is good enough even for now. 92-94 pts. Alc. 14.0%
