    July 31, 2022 - 2/2, excellent cork.
Deep garnet core, pale/garnet mahogany rim. Rich, autumnal nose, smoke, mushroom, rich earth, some balsamic notes. Medium/full bodied, rich, with mushrooms, spice, some underlying bright red fruit coming through, soft tannins, spicy aciodity, finishes well with a good length, harmonious finish. VGI, nudging excellent. Probably one to drink up.

March 7, 2015 - This was lovely. A little sour and tight at first but after decanting and with veal escalope it was lovely. Mature but not obviously so and still very fruity and fresh. Lovely perfume. Some good grip and acidity.

June 28, 2013 - On it's own: Some hints of funkiness of maturity and tannins are soft but still young-ish. Classic Italian sourness, touch old pinot like. Bit harsh still. I do find Barolo completely lacks charm sometimes...
A touch better with parmesan cheese.
... Following day (gas, fridge overnight): had a glass with a chicken, basil, garlic and parmesan ciabatta for lunch the following day and this was much better. A little on bitter side but some hints of dark cherry fruit, sourness and there was good length and weight. This proves that you MUST have food with Italian wines.

May 3, 2013 - Deep garnet core, medium pale garnet/mahogany rim. Corked.

November 3, 2012 - I found this quite tannic and not very open. But it may have been due to a cold and jammed sinuses towards the end of a wine tasting. Others enjoyed.
