  June 15, 2019 - Taste Red Blends + 1 Shared Bottle (San Diego Wine Co.): Estate grown 31% Merlot, 23% C.S., 21% C.F., 16% P.V., & 9% Malbec harvested @ 26.4 Ave Brix; "The berries were all destemmed & fermented whole without cracking, then open top fermented with 2x/day punch-downs & delastage performed as necessary to fully realize extraction." Aged 30 mos in FR oak (50% Cavin, Orion, & Atlier, & 50% neutral); 3.58 pH; 840 cs produced.
  
  N: RIPE berries with notes of earth, rest tough to parse
  
  P: Med body; RNDISH entry with nice, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.) met by an astringent pucker which QUITE resolves by the LONG, balanced finish with a tangy/swtness to the few, unoffensive, dusty tannins. For now & into at LEAST early '21. 15.5% ABV; My EXC- as this IS well done in the style -- @ THIS price! (Supposedly 90 pts WS, though I was unable to confirm this independently.) [I saw no other source with which to compare this vendor's (closeout?) $19.99.]
