January 4, 2011 - Light and soft, but nice texture in the mouth. Carried through reasonably well but somewhat lacking at the back of the palet. This bottle was somewhat disappointing because in the past we have really enjoyed Gold Eagle. This was one-dimensional, not very complex. We wanted to compare against the '02 Domaine Drouhin Laurene we had recently and the Laurene wins.
