September 25, 2023 - Dark ruby. Nose of fresh cut Bing cherry fruit, soaring violets, damp cellar, lively saline. Layers of exuberant, pure black raspberry and cherry fruit bursting on the tongue cut with bits of iron and molecular earth. Brisk acidity and firm tannin overwhelmed by primary fruit. Long finish of fresh, tart red and black fruit grounded in iron-rich soil. Charged, deep wine packed with energy. Sampled while at Mount Desert Campground.

April 22, 2023 - Agree with others that this has a lot of runway and will get better. A good hour decant required to approach, followed by ripe red and dark berries. Very fruit forward, suggestive more of Oregon than France. Expect it will come into better balance in a few years, but a pleasant drinking wine now.
