April 22, 2022 - I thought I'd open a bottle of this Vougeraie early to see how it's traveling ... the answer is very well. A promising Villages wine I will hold until 2025+, due to the tannic bite still present ... Vines planted in 1966. Decanted for 3 - 4 hours which, this young, is needed. Drunk from Zalto Denk'Art Burgundy glass. Dark, deep, young-looking crimson. A musky bouquet of black cherries and dark plums, cloves, dried herbs and damp black soil. Also, a suggestion of black liquorice and nascent dark florals. In the mouth, full, dense, structured and muscular. Very 2015 in style. I agree with Memorial Winefan, it is not (yet?) particularly Gevrey in style, perhaps more Beaune-like. It is a high quality Villages wine, clearly from old vines. Savoury and earthy with sour black cherries. Some espresso, tar, black liquorice and rocky minerality. The chunky tannins, yet to fully integrate. Lower, but sufficient, acidity. Moderate (13% ABV) alcohol. Excellent matière and potential here. At present, 91+, I'd expect it to rise.

October 31, 2019 - Excellent. Way too young, but wanted to see where I was at for the other bottles. Nobody picked this as Gevrey. The winemakers style is very different and reminded me of Beaune. Should be in for a treat down the road with more bottle age.
