Rojo Likes this wine: 90 points
December 30, 2012 - Starting to show reddish brown hue on the edges. Aromas of sweet ripe black cherries, faint smell of leather and spices. Medium bodied with lush texture on the palate with integrated flavors of plum, cherry, a touch of oak. The sweetness of the fruit just a tad noticeable than the acidity. Respectable finish.

November 2, 2009 - Really drinking well now. John's usual excellent style coming through. Notes of bright cherry, red fruits, black raspberries and pepper. Strong sense of terroir. Long, seductive finish- just great.

December 22, 2008 - Same tasting notes as before, but it got even smoother on Day 2. Had with chili on a cold Houston night - delish!

January 28, 2008 - Pepper and spice on the nose, with black pepper, leather, and licorice on the mouth. Very smooth with a fairly long finish - had with spicy chicken fajitas. This was the highlight of the wine portion of the evening.
