March 31, 2021 - Quite lovely!
Deep purple fruits, root vegetables, pepper, precious stone minerality, and coal. Sophisticated yet robust. Going strong and likely to hold form for another five to seven years. 91-92.1 person found this helpful Comment -

February 20, 2021 - Tart cherry, cranberry and slight woodsy note. Decent acid, okay fruit on palate with neither the charm of many Beaujolais nor the seriousness of many morgons. I’m “happy enough” with the wine without being especially excited. In truth a bit clumsy and heavy handed with the complexity to support it. Admittedly not a subtle year in Beaujolais.

March 15, 2020 - Deep ruby core but a light almost browning/red edge.
Flowery, violet, baking powder. Very sharp on the nose.
Nice minerals, violet, ripe-to-tart cherry combo. Med/med- body. Med+ acidity. Fun flash of cranberry toward end.
Not overly light or sweet but leaned that way more than other Morgon and really most cru Beaujolais we've had recently. Really enjoyed this. -

March 7, 2019 - Medium dark magenta. Aromas of raspberries, violets, and baking spices. This ripe vintage is surprisingly fleshy but maintains great acidity and offers flavors of bitter cherry finishing with subtle drying tannins. Sourced from a 12 acre parcel called Château Gaillard, it’s made from a combination of whole clusters fermented in stainless steel and destemmed clusters fermented in used 500 L oak barrels. 13% ABV. $21.
