Community Tasting Notes 7

February 8, 2024 - Fantastic bottle of California Chardonnay. Most of the current notes hit this on the head. Plenty of life ahead of it, and feels like it's just entering it's drinking window.

January 15, 2024 - Absolutely smoking right now. Really great and well integrated bottle. A good bit better than the 2016 tributary tonight

April 5, 2023 - Wines Before / At / After a Passover Seder (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Rich and powerful orchard fruit throughout with floral/ spiced hints, and a very engaging brightness and energy from start-to-finish. Very good now. Long and seamless finish.

February 26, 2021 - Citrusy with saline note on the finish. Plenty of acidity and surprisingly fresh for a Chardonnay that’s nearly 6 years old. Very well made, and if I had tasted it blind I would’ve probably guessed it to be from Chassagne Montrachet or Meursault.

January 22, 2021 - PnP. Medium light greenish gold. Shy but complex nose of spices and citrus and sea sir. Medium weight on the palate which is dominated by citrus and very nice acid levels with plenty of phenolic backbone on the finish. This seems almost Chablis like in its restraint. I would expect this will continue to develop more complexity over the next decade.
