May 25, 2024 - Blueberry, black olives, red currant, savoury, some woody notes. Well balanced and matured with still some fresh fruit notes. In great drinking window now!

February 15, 2021 - Opened two hours before dinner, but no significant change resulted. Bright, clear barely-medium red (as compared to previous reviewer, whose wine was a little cloudy), simple cherry and savoury notes. Meager body and complexity. Disappointing.

January 22, 2020 - {Screwcap, 13.5%} Bright garnet red, even a little cloudy. Assertive nose, really, black cherry, tobacco. With air it mellows a little, still stalky and with medium-high acidity, low dusty tannins; its about structure more than fruit, although there's some ripe darkness about the black but always pinot-tinged grape quality. Medium weight, dry, savoury, with a medium length, even finish. More time will only help I think.

June 22, 2019 - Fresh cherry, cranberry, wet earthy. Smooth tannins, nice acidity. Still primary but enjoyable.

December 25, 2018 - A beautiful and delicious bright red fruited Pinot with a bit of toasted sesame/cumin character, at least until it blew off. Tasty oak spice too. I do think the price was a little too high though, at $45 ish. Not super complex, could taste a touch riper, and although it tasted high quality, it felt like the oak spice was a tad overbearing.
Good news is, after a day, it was much better with subtler oak and more of that nice, refreshing red fruit. Something still missing. Maybe it simply needs more time, or maybe I should try his single vineyard bottlings- they might get better fruit. If you have a particular love for very bright Pinot noir, this could be your jam.
